2. Ingredients
Awesome and delicious!
If you love chocolate of any kind, then surely ice cream is your go-to choice. Guys we all know endless tubs of Ben & Jerry's are super popular on hot days, but what makes a good ice cream recipe?
The answer to this question is simple. In an ice cream recipe, you need a stabilizer, a fat, and a sweetener.
In this recipe, you need:
Whipping Cream: To stabilize the eggs used in the recipe, whipping cream is a must. This makes the cake stiffer and the ice cream smoother.
Eggs: You can use fresh eggs or even Whitened Eggs for this recipe.
Milk Powder/Additive: Egg whites, and simple ingredients like milk powder, are fairly common ingredients used as stabilizers in ice cream recipes.
Chocolate: The base of this recipe is milk chocolate, feel free to use white chocolate if you want.
3. Homemade or Prepared?
Challenging sourcing or expensive ingredients should not stop you from eating delicious ice cream. If you can get your hands on the yum stuff for a fraction of the price oftentimes already prepared products or store-bought versions are the way to go.
_So, if you do find yourself in the position to purchase expensive, high-quality ingredients, consider freezing some of them for future use.
Speaking of which, the best freezer for making ice cream, in our opinion, is either the All-Clad glass ice bucket or a non-metal or aluminum-freezer. That way your ice cream gets nice and cold, but its always safe to use.
Also, never let your ice cream get too hard or frozen. This is when water crystals and air room to form which can effect the texture and taste.
4. No Churn Crunches
Well, got a bit carried away with those no churn crunches, didn't you? You can, trust me — they're going to save you time, too, because let's face it, there's nothing like a bowl of soft, creamy, dreamy ice cream to make your life.
And while it might seem kind of indulgent to make your own, the truth is that it takes bit of time, and this great no churn recipe significantly cuts down on that time considerably. But try it, you won't regret it.

If you like your ice cream made with premium ingredients like cream from Maine and chocolate, where you can buy it without boiling water, you are spoilt for choice. But if the climate isn't so toasty, there are some simple ways you can still bring a taste of summer into your heartland kitchen.
One wonderful way is by making your own chocolate ice cream. You’ll find some of the best old-school recipes online with step-by-step instructions that it’s taken ice cream out of the freezer and on to the lips.
Chill. Not completely. Just soften your chocolate. Taking your ice cream out of the freezer the night before means it can start melting from the outside faster, which means you'll need to intermittently ice cream between stages so it doesn't melt throughout the process.
So once your chocolate is dip into cold, just leave out for three hours. After that point, you can rest easy knowing that it's cool enough for delicate Americana ice cream.
